1989

The Foundation

SCRS was founded with a vision to provide comprehensive rehabilitation—covering medical treatment, awareness, and economic independence—under one roof.

1993

Nodal Agency Recognition

The Government of West Bengal (Order No. 3705/SWD) formally accepted SCRS as the Nodal Agency for comprehensive rehabilitation services.

1996

Governor's Award

Recipient of the Governor’s Award from the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal for outstanding performance in disability services.

1997

National Recognition

Received the prestigious National Award from the President of India for being the best performing institution in the field of disability.

Expanding Impact

Now operating 55+ multi-discipline projects, generating self-employment for hundreds of disabled persons across West Bengal.
